Last updated: 25 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the JustKnit website and explain the basis on which we supply products to our customers.

By placing an order with JustKnit, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Products and Product Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications, colours, measurements and other information shown on our website are accurate.

However, small variations may occur due to manufacturing processes, dye lots, lighting, screen settings and photography.

In particular, yarn may vary slightly between dye lots. If a specific dye lot is important for your project, we recommend contacting us before placing your order.

You can find more information about yarn, colours, dye lots, ordering and delivery in our Frequently Asked Questions.

3. Prices and VAT

Prices shown on the website are displayed in accordance with the customer’s location and the applicable tax treatment.

For UK customers, prices are displayed inclusive of UK VAT where applicable.

For customers outside the UK, UK VAT may not apply. Customers may be responsible for import VAT, customs duties or other local charges imposed by their destination country.

Any applicable delivery charges will be shown before you complete your order.

4. Placing an Order

When you place an order through the JustKnit website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.

After your order is submitted, you may receive an automated acknowledgement confirming that we have received it. This acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

A contract between you and JustKnit is formed when we accept your order and begin processing or dispatching the goods.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, for example if:

  • the product is unavailable;
  • there is an obvious pricing or product information error;
  • payment cannot be authorised;
  • fraud or unauthorised activity is suspected; or
  • we are unable to supply the order for legal or operational reasons.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled items.

5. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

The available payment methods may include card payments, PayPal or other payment providers shown on the website.

You must ensure that the payment details you provide are accurate and that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

6. Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders promptly using the delivery services available for the destination selected at checkout.

Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise. Delays may occasionally occur due to Royal Mail, couriers, customs, weather or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

UK customers may qualify for free delivery where the order meets the current free-delivery threshold shown on the website.

If your order has already been dispatched, you can check its progress using our Track My Package page.

7. Risk and Ownership

Responsibility for the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to a person identified by you to receive them, subject to applicable consumer law.

Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received full payment for the order.

8. Cancellation Rights

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you may have a statutory right to cancel your order under UK consumer law.

For many distance purchases, the statutory cancellation period is 14 days from the day after you receive the goods.

In addition to your statutory rights, JustKnit currently offers a 30-day returns period for eligible items.

Please read our full Returns & Refunds Policy for details of how to request a return.

9. Returns and Refunds

Eligible items may be returned in accordance with our 30-day returns policy.

Unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, you are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us.

Approved refunds will normally be made to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Where applicable under UK consumer law, standard delivery charges may also be refunded when an entire order is cancelled.

Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for the full terms.

10. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If your goods arrive faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible.

We may ask you to provide photographs or other information to help us assess the issue.

Your rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods are protected by UK consumer law and are not limited by our standard returns policy.

Please use our Contact page and include your order number wherever possible.

11. Sale and Discounted Items

Products purchased in a sale or using a discount remain subject to your statutory consumer rights.

Eligible sale items may also be returned under our standard returns policy unless a specific legal exception applies.

12. Products That Cannot Normally Be Returned

Certain products may be excluded from change-of-mind returns where a legal exception applies.

This may include goods that have been:

  • made or altered specifically for you;
  • cut to a requested length;
  • personalised; or
  • used or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them.

This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.

13. Customer Accounts

You may create an account on the JustKnit website to manage orders and access account-related features.

You are responsible for keeping your account login details secure and for ensuring that information associated with your account is accurate.

If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, please contact us promptly.

We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites that we do not control.

17. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under UK law.

This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and your statutory rights relating to goods that are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses arising from purchases made primarily for business purposes.

18. Privacy and Cookies

We take the protection of personal information seriously.

Information about how we collect and use personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Information about cookies and similar technologies is available in our Cookie Policy.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our business, website, products, legal requirements or operating practices.

The latest version will be published on this page together with the date of the most recent update.

Any order will normally be governed by the terms in force at the time the order was placed.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom.

If you are a consumer, nothing in this section removes any mandatory rights or protections available to you under the law that applies to you.
